This is where it starts.

You might already have a clear brief and know exactly what you need, or you might simply know that your current imagery isn’t quite doing you, your work or your event justice.

We’ll talk about what you’re creating, who it’s for and what you want the photographs to communicate. For events, we’ll also cover what you’re planning, the people involved and the moments that matter most.

You don’t need to arrive with a shot list or every detail figured out.

This is simply about understanding what matters and what the photographs need to do for you.

From there, we build the photography around what you need.

For branding, we’ll explore locations, outfits, environments and the different types of imagery that will give you a useful and varied collection.

For events, we’ll talk through timings, key people and moments, any photographs you know you’ll need, and the overall feel of the occasion.

There’ll be enough of a plan that nothing important gets missed, while leaving plenty of room for the photographs we couldn’t have planned.

By the time I arrive, we’ll know what matters, without scripting every moment.

This is where the plan becomes something real.

For branding, I’ll offer direction where it helps; creating considered portraits, working imagery and details, while leaving room for personality and the moments that happen naturally along the way.

For events, I’ll work more observationally, capturing the people, atmosphere and interactions as they unfold, while stepping in when group photographs or key moments need a little direction.

Either way, the photography never needs to take over what’s actually happening.

Afterwards, I’ll carefully select and edit the strongest photographs, bringing everything together with natural colour, considered tones and a consistent editorial finish.

You’ll receive your finished collection through a private online gallery, ready to download in high resolution and use in line with the licence included with your booking.

For branding, that means a versatile library of imagery ready for your website, social media, press and marketing. For events, it’s a complete visual record of the people, atmosphere and moments that made it what it was.
